The LD-3 High-Precision Lightning-Ignited Fire Locator is a fully automatic intelligent lightning detection device. It monitors the time, position and intensity of lightning events as well as thunderstorm location and movement. Using very-low-frequency lightning electromagnetic pulses, orthogonal magnetic-field antennas, electric-field polarity and time-difference positioning, it supplies essential data for monitoring lightning-ignited forest fires.

Full-Waveform 3D Lightning Detection
Lightning electromagnetic pulses are captured and combined with orthogonal magnetic-field antennas, electric-field polarity and arrival-time differences for automatic event detection and location.
High-Precision Networked Location
At least three stations can participate in positioning, while a typical monitoring network uses four or more devices and achieves location accuracy better than 300 metres.
Lightning-Fire Identification
Lightning time, position, intensity and thunderstorm movement data provide the foundation for identifying and responding to lightning-ignited forest-fire risks.
Remote Operation and Intelligent Warning
BeiDou high-precision timing, remote parameter configuration, waveform extraction and lightning-energy detection support unattended, continuous monitoring.
